WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
In consideration of being permitted to participate in or observe any activities, including but not limited to dog training, instruction, handling, observation, PSA (Protection Sports Association), IGP (Internationale Gebrauchshund Prufung), agility training and competition, weight pull training and competition, obedience, tracking, protection training, controlled bite work, decoy work, use of training equipment and obstacles, field rental, facility rental, and pool rental (Shogun's Ultimate Pool), and for being permitted to enter and use the premises and property associated with ULTIMATE K9 BODYGUARDS, located in Chestermere, Alberta, I hereby agree as follows:
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand and acknowledge that participation in working dog sports, training activities, and the use of rented or municipal facilities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to dog bites, scratches, falls, collisions, equipment or obstacle failure, uneven or slippery surfaces, weather conditions, water-related risks, physical exertion, and interaction with other dogs and participants, which may result in serious injury, property damage, permanent disability, or death.
I voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, foreseeable and unforeseeable, associated with my participation and with the participation of my dog(s).
CONTROL AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR DOGS
I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for the behavior, actions, and control of my dog(s) at all times. I agree to comply with all posted rules, instructions, safety requirements, and directions provided by instructors, officials, property owners, or municipal representatives. I certify that my dog(s) are in suitable physical condition and have current vaccinations as required.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I hereby release, waive, and discharge ULTIMATE K9 BODYGUARDS, Stan Thankachen, and all instructors, trainers, decoys, volunteers, assistants, agents, representatives, officers, directors, participants, landowners, municipalities, facility owners, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation or use of the premises, including but not limited to PSA, IGP, agility, weight pull, dog training, field rental, facility rental, and pool rental, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
INDEMNIFICATION
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above-named parties from any loss, liability, damage, or cost, including legal fees, arising out of or related to my participation or the actions of my dog(s), including any claims made by third parties.
MEDICAL CARE
I understand that any medical assistance provided is limited to basic first aid only, and I consent to such care if deemed necessary.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA RELEASE
I grant permission for photographs or video recordings of me or my dog(s) taken during activities to be used for training, educational, promotional, or publicity purposes, without compensation.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in these activities and that I have read and fully understand this agreement. I understand that by signing this document I am giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue.
